If you purchased real estate on the west coast of Barbados 20 years ago, you would have seen significant returns on your investment by now. Back then, the west coast was now being discovered, and development projects were flourishing all over. However, today is a different story; the west coast is now becoming a saturated market with hardly any potential for new developments.
The eastern side of Barbados is now being discovered as a prime location for real estate, with The Crane being at the forefront of this emerging market. As a result, prices are significantly lower, and values are much greater than the already-appreciated locations.
The Crane’s low initial pricing, combined with the fact that it is located in an area that is just now being “discovered”, should result in substantial capital gains in the future. A good indicator is that even during the recent economic downturn, property values at The Crane continued to increase an average of 5% each year.
